Daniel Lincoln, University of Tennessee

Placekicker, Daniel Lincoln, continues to work his way up the Tennessee season field-goal charts. Through eight games, Lincoln is tied for first in the SEC and seventh nationally with 1.9 field goals made per game. And his .882 success rate (15-of-17) is tied for third nationally among kickers with at least 15 made field goals. He also is second in the SEC with a 9.3-point scoring average. The Ocala, Fla., redshirt freshman connected on a pair of clutch kicks Oct. 27 en route to SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Lincoln needs just one successful field goal to enter UT’s season top-10 chart and is only two away from tying the school’s freshman record of 17 set by James Wilhoit in 2003. He hit his first eight attempts to set the best career start in UT history. The previous best start by a Tennessee kicker was 6-of-6 by Carlos Reveiz (1985) and Ricky Townsend (1972).
