Alexis Serna, Oregon State University

Alexis Serna’s two fourth quarter boots iced the 23-6 victory over Stanford, keeping the 5-3 Beavers hopes alive for a major bowl game.  The senior connected on kicks of 41, 31 and 41 yards.  He has also been successful on all 21 PAT attempts this season.  Serna is 10 of 13 in field goal tries this year and last Saturday was his second consecutive 3 for 3 game.  The Beavers are one of five Pac 10 teams still in the hunt.

Ryan Pretorius, Ohio State University
Ohio State’s Ryan Pretorius is the second ranked kicker in the nation after his 3 for 3 day to help the top ranked Buckeyes defeat Penn State 37-17 on Saturday.  Pretorius connected on field goals of  50, 37 and 35 yards as well as all four of his PAT tries.  He is 16 of 19 in field goals and has hit all 35 PAT’s to bring his total scoring to 83 points for the season.  The Buckeyes win keeps them on the road to the national championship game.

Ryan Bailey, University of Texas
Ryan Bailey has earned his second Star of the Week recognition of the season.  The Texas sophomore booted the Longhorns to a 28-25 defeat of Nebraska in a key Big 12 conference game Saturday.  He connected on field goals of 38, 47 and 49 yards.  Bailey is also a perfect 35 for 35 in extra point tries this season.  The Longhorns are 3-2 in Big 12 play and still have hopes of being part of the conference championship fray.
